Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Huddersfield
Salary: £46,000 per annum
Hours: 38 hours per week | Double Days

Metalis Engineering Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing business, for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team in Huddersfield.This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer to play a key role in maintaining machinery, reducing downtime and improving production efficiency within a busy manufacturing environment.
The Role
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a range of production machinery.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
* Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, bulk handling and automated systems.
* Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimise production downtime.
* Record maintenance activities using the Sage CMMS system.
* Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and relevant regulations, including PUWER.
About You
* Apprenticeship-trained or qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-Skilled Engineering.
* Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
* Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
* Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* A proactive team player with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Desirable: 18th Edition (essential for electrically biased candidates), inspection and testing, fabrication and welding skills, and IPAF/PASMA qualifications.
