Description:
Workman’s Recruitment represents an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer to join a fast-expanding food company based in Malton. Ideally, you will have several years of experience and be qualified to repair/maintain commercial machinery, preferably within the food industry.
Responsibilities:
* Regular planned maintenance, general repairs, and machine breakdowns
* A sound electrical knowledge ranging from safety circuits, low voltage relay logic, and PLC control systems to high current power circuits, including motors and heaters, as well as a solid mechanical aptitude
* Direct experience with packaging equipment like VFFS, Weighers, Metal Detectors/Check Weighers etc.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* NVQ3/C&G in an Electrical and Mechanical engineering discipline OR apprentice-trained multi-skilled maintenance engineer
* As a team player with good communication skills, you will be expected to ensure that everyone within operations is fully aware of issues that might arise.
* Develop and train others in how to rectify simple problems.
* Foresee any possible issues and deal with them before they arise.
* A keen eye for detail, working independently without supervision.
Salary & Benefits:
* Salary: £53,000 per annum
* 10% Annual Salary Bonus - £5300
