Location: Cambridge (Field Based)

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and expanding building services and maintenance contractor that delivers planned and reactive maintenance across residential, Industrial and commercial properties.
Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint a Multi-Skilled Engineer with an Electrical Bias to join their mobile engineering team, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on plant room equipment across a portfolio of sites.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys a varied role, is confident working independently, and has strong electrical knowledge alongside general mechanical maintenance experience.
The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and servicing a range of plant room equipment to ensure systems remain safe, compliant and operating efficiently.
Duties Include
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on plant room equipment.
* Attending reactive maintenance and fault-finding call-outs.
* Electrical testing, fault diagnosis and minor installation works.
* Servicing and maintaining pumps, pressurisation units, booster sets, expansion vessels and associated plant.
* Maintenance of motors, controls, lighting, distribution boards and electrical systems.
* Inspecting and maintaining heating, hot water and ventilation plant.
* Completing maintenance reports using handheld devices.
* Identifying remedial works and reporting recommendations.
* Ensuring all work complies with current health & safety legislation and industry standards.
* Providing a professional service to clients and residents at all times.
About You
You'll be an experienced maintenance engineer with a strong electrical background and the ability to carry out general mechanical maintenance within plant rooms.
Essential
* Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
* Experience working as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.
* Strong fault-finding skills.
* Experience maintaining plant room equipment.
* Knowledge of pumps, motors, controls and HVAC plant.
* Good understanding of planned preventative maintenance.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
* Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent).
* Experience within residential building services.
* Experience with BMS controls.
* Water hygiene awareness.
* IPAF or PASMA.
