Description:

Electrically Biased Multi-Skilled Engineer

Boston, Lincolnshire | £52,500 | 4 on / 4 off Days & Nights | Permanent

If you're an electrically biased Multi-Skilled Engineer who enjoys fault finding, solving problems and working on a varied range of production machinery, this could be a very good next move.

I'm recruiting for a well-established manufacturing business in Boston, Lincolnshire, looking for an engineer to join an experienced maintenance team supporting a busy production site.

The role offers £52,500, a popular 4 on / 4 off days and nights shift pattern, and the stability of a permanent position with a business that continues to invest in its operation.

Your electrical skills will be a big part of the role, but you'll also need to be comfortable getting involved with mechanical maintenance when required.

What you'll be doing

Responding to electrical and mechanical breakdowns

Electrical fault finding across production machinery

Fault finding on PLC-controlled equipment

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance

Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults

Working with production teams to reduce downtime

Identifying recurring faults and improving equipment reliability

Completing maintenance records and engineering documentation

Supporting continuous improvement projects

Working safely and maintaining high engineering standards

What we're looking for

We're looking for an Electrical Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer or Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical background.

You'll ideally have:

Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent

Strong electrical fault-finding skills

Experience with PLC-controlled machinery

Mechanical maintenance experience

Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food production or another fast-paced production environment

A practical, hands-on approach to engineering

The ability to work independently and as part of an experienced engineering team

Flexibility to work a 4 on / 4 off days and nights pattern

What's on offer?

£52,500 basic salary

4 on / 4 off days and nights

Permanent, full-time position

Stable manufacturing business

Long-term investment in the site

Modern production environment

Varied range of production and automated equipment

Experienced engineering team

Opportunity to make a genuine impact on reliability and downtime

Why consider it?

This is a role for an engineer who likes being hands-on.

You'll have the opportunity to diagnose faults, make decisions and get involved with both electrical and mechanical maintenance rather than being restricted to one area of engineering.

The site is busy, but that's where a good maintenance engineer can make a real difference. You'll be working closely with production to keep equipment running, reduce downtime and improve reliability.

If you're an Electrical Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer or Maintenance Engineer looking for a stable permanent role with strong earning potential and a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, this is well worth considering.
