Multi-Skilled Engineer
Salary: £47/48k per annum
Shift: Days & Nights
We are currently looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a busy food manufacturing environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer looking for a challenging role within a fast-paced production facility, where you will play a key part in keeping the site running safely and efficiently.
The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of a wide range of production machinery and site services. You will work closely with the production team to minimise downtime and ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
* Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
* Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults.
* Supporting production to minimise equipment downtime.
* Working on a variety of food manufacturing and processing machinery.
* Completing maintenance records and reporting faults appropriately.
* Supporting continuous improvement and equipment reliability.
* Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety and food hygiene standards.
* Working effectively as part of a wider engineering and production team.
About You
We are looking for a qualified and experienced engineer with a strong electrical and mechanical skill set, ideally with previous experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar production environment.
You should be:
* Multi-skilled with strong electrical and mechanical capabilities.
* Experienced in fault finding and preventative maintenance.
* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
* Flexible and willing to work a days and nights shift pattern.
* Safety-conscious with a proactive approach to maintenance.
* Ideally qualified to NVQ Level 3 / ONC / HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
