Description:

Multi Skiled Engineer | FMCG Manufacturing Sleaford 4 on / 4 off (Days & Nights Rotation) Competitive Salary + Benefits

Some sites quietly make food. This one makes a lot of it, continuously, at scale, and expects the engineering function to keep pace when things inevitably don't go to plan.

We're supporting a large UK food manufacturing business operating a high-output poultry processing environment in Lincolnshire. They are looking to appoint an Electrical Engineer to strengthen the shift team, maintaining, improving and restoring critical production equipment within a fast-paced FMCG setting where uptime, safety and consistency directly drive performance.

The Role

You will be responsible for providing electrical engineering support to production, ensuring equipment is maintained, repaired and optimised to deliver maximum availability and performance.

Key responsibilities include:

Responding quickly and safely to plant stoppages and breakdowns
Electrical fault finding across production and packaging equipment
Working on single and three-phase systems in a live manufacturing environment
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) via SAP
Supporting improvements in equipment reliability and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
Ensuring all work is completed in line with safe systems of work, including LO/TO procedures
Working closely with production and engineering teams to resolve issues effectively and prevent recurrence

What You Will Need

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
Strong electrical fault-finding experience in industrial environments
Experience working with PLC-controlled systems at a diagnostic level
Knowledge of motors, sensors, drives and control systems
Understanding of safe isolation and high-risk equipment procedures
Experience in FMCG, food, packaging or similar fast-paced manufacturing environments preferred
SAP or CMMS experience advantageous

This is a role for someone who prefers being close to the action rather than observing it from a distance.

It offers:

A structured 4 on / 4 off shift pattern with significant time off between rotations
Exposure to high-speed FMCG production systems operating at scale
Genuine opportunity to improve equipment reliability and reduce repeat failures
A stable, well-invested manufacturing environment with ongoing operational demand
Continuous improvement activity that is expected, not optionalFor engineers who enjoy solving problems in real time, this is a genuinely active and demanding manufacturing environment with real technical variety.

About the Business

A large UK food manufacturer operating within a wider European group, supplying branded and own-label products across major retail and foodservice channels.

The organisation operates at scale with continued investment in engineering capability, automation and production efficiency across its network.
