Multi-Skilled Engineer - Monday-Friday, days
Salary: Up to £51,000

We are seeking a proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a busy, fast-paced manufacturing environment within the FMCG sector. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for ensuring production machinery runs efficiently, minimising downtime, and supporting consistent delivery against operational targets.

You will work closely with both Engineering and Production teams, playing a key role in day-to-day reliability as well as supporting continuous improvement across equipment, systems, and processes.

What We're Looking For

* Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment
* Confident fault-finding and diagnostic skills across a range of machinery
* Strong problem-solving ability with a focus on root cause resolution
* Proactive mindset with a clear focus on continuous improvement
* Good communication skills and a strong team approach
* Ability to support, train, and share knowledge with others
* Organised and methodical approach to maintenance planning and stock control

Key Responsibilities

* Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns to minimise disruption
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of production machinery
* Ensure all engineering work is completed to high standards of safety and quality
* Prioritise maintenance activities to reduce downtime and maintain production flow
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across reliability, safety, and efficiency
* Support training and development of junior or less experienced team members
* Deputise for senior engineering team members where necessary
