A number of Multi Skilled Engineer vacancies are available with a prestigious manufacturing company based in Thrapston. The shifts available are 4 on 4 off permanent days or 4 on 4 off permanent nights, paying a salary ranging from £42,400 - £53,500 per annum alongside a competitive benefits package including 30 days annual leave, overtime at 1.5 x, life insurance of up to 4 x basic salary and much more.
This century-old business is one of the major UK retailers and is renowned and well-loved for its consistent high-quality food produce. Training and progression opportunities are a high priority for this company and you will be given a clear progression plan and the chance to upskill yourself in areas you desire. You will be based at their state-of-the-art site in Thrapston which has recently had a huge investment in a high number of new production lines.
Roles and Responsibilities as a Multi Skilled Engineer:
You will be responsible for dealing with both reactive and preventative maintenance across the whole site.
You will be involved with a variety of projects such as PPM, Continuous Improvement and New Machinery Installations.
Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults, machine emergencies or unplanned problems in a systematic and logical manner.
Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures for each machine.

One of the following qualifications: Level 3 in City and Guilds, NVQ or BTEC (Apprenticeship) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Knowledge in dealing with breakdowns on Manufacturing / Production Machinery such as multihead weighers, conveyors, vision systems, packaging machinery, metal detectors, check weighers to name a few.
Industry experience within one of the following areas: Food, Drink, Packaging, Print, Textiles, Plastics, Pharmaceuticals or any other fast-paced environment.
Worked previously as a Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Multi Skilled Engineer, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Shift Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Multi-Skilled Technician.
