Shift Pattern: 3 on / 3 off - Days & Nights

The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Barnsley.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrically biased engineer looking to join a stable organisation offering a competitive salary, permanent employment and a structured 3 on / 3 off day and night shift pattern.
You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and availability of production machinery and site equipment, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of production machinery and site services.
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise production downtime.
Fault-find using electrical schematics, drawings and test equipment.
Identify recurring faults and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Work safely and ensure all maintenance activities comply with company procedures.
Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately.
Support breakdown response and ensure machinery is returned to production as quickly and safely as possible.
Assist with installation, modification and improvement of equipment where required.
Work closely with production and engineering colleagues to maintain high levels of plant reliability.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
A recognised Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering / Maintenance Engineering or equivalent.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Good mechanical maintenance knowledge.
The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Experience with planned and reactive maintenance.
A proactive approach to identifying and resolving faults.
The ability to work independently and as part of an engineering team.
Flexibility to work a 3 on / 3 off days and nights shift pattern.
