MRP Controller

Description:

We are actively seeking a skilled MRP Controller to join a leading Defence company. Our client is looking for an experienced professional to play a crucial role in ensuring efficient materials planning and control, contributing to the success of projects.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage the materials planning and control activities to support project requirements
Monitor inventory levels, identify potential shortages, and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks
Generate and maintain accurate material demand forecasts based on project schedules and customer requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish procurement strategies and ensure timely delivery of materials
Review and analyze supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and update the MRP system accordingly
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in materials planning and control
Adhere to quality standards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices

Job Requirements

Minimum of 3 years' experience using SAP within a Material Planning role
Minimum of 3 years' experience within a material supply or manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of MRP systems and inventory management principles
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records
Please note that this is a 6-month contract position and requires an immediate start.
