Are you an experienced motor vehicle professional looking to inspire the next generation of technicians?
About the Role
As a Motor Vehicle Lecturer with a further education provider, you'll deliver engaging theory and practical sessions across motor vehicle programmes, helping learners build the technical knowledge, hands-on skills and professional confidence they need to progress into employment or further training.
You'll bring your industry experience into the classroom and workshop, teaching across a range of levels and adapting your approach so every learner can succeed. If you haven't taught before, that's no barrier: you'll be fully supported to gain a recognised teaching qualification while you work.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering engaging classroom and workshop-based teaching across motor vehicle programmes.
Teaching learners at a range of levels, including full-time students, adult learners and apprentices.
Planning lessons, assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
Maintaining accurate learner records and contributing to high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
Promoting a positive, safe and professional learning environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle (or equivalent)
Recent industry experience within the motor vehicle sector
Enthusiasm for developing and inspiring future technicians
Good communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
Experience teaching or mentoring others in a workshop setting
