Job Title: Motor Vehicle Lecturer (Body/Panel)

Location: Birmingham, United Kingdom

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: Up to £35,000 - £42,000 (Dependent on Experience and Qualifications)

Our client is a reputable college based in Birmingham, dedicated to providing high-quality education and training to our students. We are currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Motor Vehicle Lecturer with expertise in body and panel work to join our team.

Role Overview:

As a Motor Vehicle Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative teaching sessions to our Level 2 & 3 students. Experience within body and panel work is essential for this role, and while prior teaching experience is preferred, we are open to considering candidates who are new to the teaching profession.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality teaching sessions to Level 2 & 3 students in motor vehicle studies, with a focus on body and panel work.
Utilize your expertise in vehicle body construction and repair methods, including technical methods such as Thatcham or manufacturer guidelines.
Demonstrate proficiency in MIG/MAG welding (TiG desirable), as well as the removal and replacement of structural body panels.
Ability to repair aluminium and utilize self-piercing rivets (SPR) and adhesives.
Familiarity with using measuring system jigs or bracket system jigs.Requirements:

Minimum of a Level 2 Motor Vehicle or Body/Panel qualification.
Extensive knowledge of vehicle body construction and repair techniques.
Experience with MIG/MAG welding, and preferably TiG welding.
Proficiency in removing and replacing structural body panels, as well as repairing aluminium.
Familiarity with self-piercing rivets (SPR), adhesives, and measuring system jigs.
Teaching experience and qualifications are beneficial but not mandatory.Benefits:

Competitive salary up to £35,000 for candidates without teaching background/qualifications (due to investment into teaching qualifications).
Salary up to £42,000 for qualified teaching candidates.
Generous holiday allowance of 35-45 days plus bank holidays.
Employer pension contribution of 23.68%.
