The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced and fully qualified MOT Tester to join a professional and well-established automotive business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing MOT tests accurately, efficiently and in accordance with current DVSA regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable automotive professional seeking a secure, long-term position within a supportive working environment.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct Class 4 MOT tests in line with current DVSA standards and regulations.

Accurately identify and record vehicle defects, advisories and failures.
*
Complete all required MOT documentation and update the relevant systems.
*
Maintain consistently high standards of safety, quality and compliance.
*
Clearly explain MOT results and any recommended work to customers and colleagues.
*
Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs where required.
*
Ensure all tools and testing equipment are used correctly and maintained appropriately.
*
Keep the MOT testing bay and workshop clean, safe and organised.
*
Work effectively with technicians, service advisors and other team members.
*
Remain up to date with changes to MOT regulations and industry standards.
Essential Requirements
*
A valid and current DVSA MOT Testing Licence.
*
Qualified to test Class 4 vehicles.
*
Relevant automotive qualification, ideally NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
*
Previous experience working as an MOT Tester or Vehicle Technician.
*
Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, maintenance and repairs.
*
A full UK driving licence.
*
Excellent attention to detail.
*
A professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach.
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Requirements
*
Experience completing vehicle servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs.
*
Additional MOT testing classes.
*
Experience working within a dealership, independent garage or fast-fit environment.
