We are seeking a skilled and experienced MOT Technician for our client, a reputable family-owned motor group in Preston. The MOT Technician will play a key role in delivering high-quality vehicle servicing, repairs, and MOT testing within a franchised environment. Opportunities to work with modern facilities and high-standard standardsDuties of a MOT Technician :
Conduct road tests to diagnose faults accurately
Perform routine inspections, servicing, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards
Carry out MOT tests in accordance with current regulations and maintain required accreditation
Ensure work is completed within designated timeframes, maintaining productivity and quality standards
Complete all documentation, job cards, and reports accurately and promptly
Collaborate closely with the service reception and parts teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environmentRequirements of a MOT Technician :
Formal qualification in Motor Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent)
Current MOT Testing Licence
Full UK driving licence with a clean record
Strong technical skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
