Description:

We are recruiting for a MOT Technician on behalf of our client, a leading automotive service centre and tyre retailer with multiple locations nationwide, based in Newport. This MOT Technician role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals seeking to join a busy, reputable business within the motor trade sector.

Structured 42.5-hour week, over five days, Monday to Friday with alternating Saturdays (8:00am-4:00pm) and weekdays off
Enhanced holiday entitlement and optional overtimeDuties of a MOT Technician:

Conduct MOT tests in compliance with Ministry standards
Diagnose and repair vehicle faults efficiently and accurately
Assist with vehicle servicing and repairs as required
Support the workshop team to ensure high standards of quality and efficiency
Provide excellent customer service, including occasional front reception assistance 
Produce high-quality work within specified time frames
Maintain accurate documentation and recordsRequirements of a MOT Technician: 

Proven experience as a MOT Technician
Valid MOT licence and UK driving licence with minimal points
Knowledge of current MOT standards and vehicle repair procedures
Friendly, professional, and approachable manner
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
