We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable, family-run garage located in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, for an experienced MOT Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional seeking a well-supported role within a long-established business. Benefits:
Competitive basic salary up to £35,000, negotiable based on experience and qualifications
OTE over £40,000 with uncapped bonus scheme based on hours sold
Consistent working hours: Monday to Friday (8:30am – 5:30pm) and one Saturday in two (8:30am – 12:30pm)

Opportunity to work with a diverse range of fleet, lease, and private vehicles including Japanese imports
No heavy engine rebuilds; focus on service, diagnostics, and light mechanical work
Opportunities for ongoing training and developmentDuties of an MOT Technician:
Conduct multiple MOT tests throughout the day, with occasional light mechanical tasks
Ensure vehicles meet safety standards and comply with UK MOT regulations
Perform routine servicing and minor repairs as required
Maintain high levels of vehicle safety and customer satisfaction
Adhere to workshop policies and health & safety guidelines
Keep accurate records of work carried out
Work effectively within a team environment, supporting workshop operationsRequirements of an MOT Technician:
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Valid MOT Tester registration
Full UK driving licence
Experience as a MOT Technician in a workshop environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
Ability to work efficiently and independently
