Our client, a well-established independent garage on the outskirts of Southampton, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester to join their team. Duties of the Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester:
* Perform servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance on all vehicle makes and models
* Conduct MOT tests in line with current regulations
* Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults efficiently
* Work collaboratively with experienced technicians to ensure high standards of work
* Keep up-to-date with the latest industry technologies and best practices
* Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements of Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester:
* NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification; Level 2 qualified technicians and time-served Mechanics are encouraged to apply
* MOT Tester qualification is preferred but not essential
* Proven experience in diagnostics, fault-finding, and vehicle repairs
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Positive attitude and team-oriented approach
