Nicholas Howard is delighted to be recruiting for a Mortgage/Broker Administrator to join an exciting specialist mortgage lending business. Our client is a well-established specialist second charge mortgage lender, currently going through a strong period of growth, and so are looking to add to their team!

The Mortgage Administrator is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the underwriting team while maintaining effective communication with brokers, solicitors, and customers. The primary objectives of this role include ensuring the accuracy and completeness of mortgage applications, facilitating document submissions, and delivering exceptional service.

Key responsibilities:

* Check data input accuracy of mortgage applications keyed and submitted from intermediaries.

* Undertake required searches and obtain appropriate documentation to complete pack submission for underwriter.

* Provide feedback of missing key underwriting documentation to Brokers

* Allocate new case to required work queue.

* Complete report on title request to solicitors and action response in line with procedure

* Undertake security calls with customers.

* Package and post-offer documentation.

* Action completions as received from Solicitors.

* Provide first-line telephone support to Brokers to provide updates and protect underwriters from calls.

* To allocate calls to correct person where technical support is required

Experience required

* Mortgage Industry Knowledge: Understanding of mortgage products, processes, and regulations.

* Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously review documents and data for accuracy.

* Problem-Solving Skills: Capacity to identify issues in and find appropriate solutions.

* Time Management: Efficiently managing multiple tasks and prioritizing workload to meet deadlines.

* Customer Service Skills: Ability to handle customer inquiries professionally and provide assistance effectively.

* Teamwork: Collaborating with colleagues across different departments to ensure smooth workflow.

* Adaptability: Being open to learning new processes and adapting to changes in procedures or systems.

* Confidentiality: Handling sensitive information with discretion and maintaining confidentiality.

* Regulatory Compliance: Understanding and adherence to regulatory requirements in the financial services industry
