Do you have modelling and simulation experience, and are you seeking a new job in Solihull? Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a collaborative company recruit a Modelling and Simulation Engineer, and the role comes with a contract rate of £30.81 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35). This contract is for 12 months.

As a Modelling and Simulation Engineer, you will support the DES model generation from concept modelling to fully detailed mimic of the programme and system that meet the design scope, operating principals, performance metrics, safety, quality, delivery, cost, people and environment objectives are met. You will also support the system optimisation, cost avoidance, best practices capturing and sharing this with relevant stakeholders.

In your first week in this Modelling and Simulation Engineer role, you can expect to:

Support the DES model generation from concept modelling to a fully detailed mimic of the programme/system that meet the design scope, operating principals, performance metrics, safety, quality, delivery, cost, people and environment objectives are met
Work effectively with design teams to develop and optimise solutions considering multi-attributes within defined deadlines and time constraints
Guide the process using a product knowledge and awareness of potential design constraints to ensure due consideration is given in developing solutions
Coordinate projects and teams feedback of results as required through design/project reviews/DES Dashboards.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Demonstrable working knowledge and experience of 'Witness' or 'Plant Simulation' Discrete Event Simulation toolsets
Demonstrable previous experience of bottleneck analysis using Discrete Event Simulation.
A good communicator who can communicate complex ideas
Previous experience and background in production process flow simulation, problem solving on complex technical systems.
Experience in production sites
An effective team player, actively leads, develops and supports team members
High levels of personal resilience, integrity and honesty as well as large amounts of humility for the team.
An individual who enables speed in decision making through establishing alignment, clarity, appropriate resources and sense of urgency whilst bringing others along
Preferred:

Experience in automotive production.
Experience working practices of programme integration and new programmes in automotive engineering.
Previous experience of Siemens Technomatix Plant Simulation toolset
