Are you an experienced Plant Supervisor or Concrete Plant Operative looking for your next challenge?

We're recruiting for a Relief Concrete Plant Supervisor to support multiple ready-mix concrete plants across the South West. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation that offers long-term career progression, excellent benefits and the chance to work across a variety of sites.

This is a hands-on role where you'll oversee the production of high-quality ready-mix concrete, support site operations, and ensure the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance are maintained. A full UK driving licence is essential, as travel between sites is required.

The RoleAs a Relief Concrete Plant Supervisor, you'll be responsible for:

Operating computerised batching systems to produce ready-mix concrete to customer specifications.

Supporting Production Managers with the day-to-day running of multiple concrete plants.

Carrying out daily inspections of safety-critical equipment.

Operating loading shovels to replenish aggregate stock.

Monitoring stock levels and ordering raw materials when required.

Managing the safe movement of mixer, tipper and cement tanker vehicles on site.

Supervising contractors and ensuring work is completed safely.

Completing environmental compliance checks and maintaining accurate records.

Driving high standards of housekeeping and carrying out routine preventative maintenance.

Coaching and supporting operational teams while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Promoting a positive health, safety and environmental culture across all sites.

What We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who has:

Previous experience working within a concrete plant, quarry, manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.

A good mechanical and/or electrical understanding of plant machinery.

A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

The flexibility to travel across multiple sites within the South West.

A full UK driving licence (essential).
