Are you an experienced Plant Supervisor or Concrete Plant Operative looking for your next challenge?
We're recruiting for a Relief Concrete Plant Supervisor to support multiple ready-mix concrete plants across the South West. This is a hands-on role where you'll oversee the production of high-quality ready-mix concrete, support site operations, and ensure the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance are maintained.
A full UK driving licence is essential, as travel between sites is required.
The Role
As a Relief Concrete Plant Supervisor, you'll be responsible for:
* Operating computerised batching systems to produce ready-mix concrete to customer specifications.
* Supporting Production Managers with the day-to-day running of multiple concrete plants.
* Carrying out daily inspections of safety-critical equipment.
* Operating loading shovels to replenish aggregate stock.
* Monitoring stock levels and ordering raw materials when required.
* Managing the safe movement of mixer, tipper and cement tanker vehicles on site.
* Supervising contractors and ensuring work is completed safely.
* Completing environmental compliance checks and maintaining accurate records.
* Driving high standards of housekeeping and carrying out routine
We're looking for someone who has:
* Previous experience working within a concrete plant, quarry, manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
* A good mechanical and/or electrical understanding of plant machinery.
* A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
* The flexibility to travel across multiple sites within the South West.
* A full UK driving licence (essential).
