Mobile Plant Fitter - Heavy Plant
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience + overtime
Location: Nottingham - Nationwide / UK Travel
Position: Full-time, Permanent
An established demolition contractor is looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join its team, maintaining and repairing a specialist fleet of heavy plant and demolition machinery used on projects across the UK.
This is a permanent position offering a salary of around £45,000 to £55,000 depending on experience, with overtime paid on top, along with a fully fitted company van.
The work is nationwide, so there will be periods working away from home. When this is required, accommodation will be provided along with an allowance for food and drink.

The company is a long-established, family-run demolition contractor carrying out projects nationwide.
Operating for more than 30 years, the business works across demolition, dismantling, refurbishment, remediation, site clearance and associated works, with its own specialist fleet including high-reach demolition machinery and recycling plant.
They continually invest in their plant, equipment and workforce and are looking for a Mobile Plant Fitter who can help keep that fleet operating reliably across their projects.
The Role
As a Mobile Plant Fitter, you will work across the company's sites, supporting the maintenance and repair of its heavy plant and specialist equipment.
Typical responsibilities will include:

Servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy plant and machinery
*
Attending breakdowns and diagnosing faults
*
Carrying out mechanical and hydraulic repairs
*
Planned and preventative maintenance
*
Ensuring machinery is kept safe, reliable and ready for use
*
Travelling to sites across the UK as required
What We're Looking For
The company is looking for someone with a strong practical background in plant maintenance and repair.
You could currently be working as a:

Plant Fitter

Heavy Plant Fitter
*
Mobile Plant Fitter
*
Field Service Engineer
*
Heavy Plant Engineer
Experience working with heavy construction, demolition, recycling, quarrying or similar plant would be particularly relevant.
You will need to be comfortable working independently, travelling to different sites and staying away from home when required.
