Job Role of the Mobile Plant Fitter
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join a well-established and growing heavy plant business covering the March and Peterborough area.
Working a days-only shift, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy plant machinery at customer sites, ensuring equipment is operating safely and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable company that invests in its engineers and offers long-term career progression.
Non-Negotiable Requirements
Proven experience maintaining and repairing heavy plant machinery.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems.
Experience carrying out servicing, planned maintenance and breakdown repairs on customer sites.
Full UK driving licence.
Essential Requirements
Experience working on equipment such as excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, loading shovels, rollers or similar heavy plant.
Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, apprenticeship or equivalent).
Ability to work independently and provide a high standard of customer service.
Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
Desirable Requirements
Previous experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter, Plant Engineer, Field Service Engineer or Heavy Plant Mechanic.
Manufacturer training or experience with leading plant brands such as JCB, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Hitachi or Liebherr.
