Mobile Plant Fitter
Location: Eastleigh
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per year (depending on experience)
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established company for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled plant engineer to work on a varied fleet of construction equipment, carrying out maintenance, servicing, inspections, and repairs both in the workshop and at customer sites. A company van will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain, service and repair a large fleet of construction plant machinery.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults efficiently and safely.
Work on a wide range of equipment, including:
Excavators (800kg to 14 tonnes)
Tracked and wheeled dumpers (up to 9 tonnes)
Telehandlers
Rollers
Other construction plant machinery
Complete service records and inspection certificates accurately.
Ensure all equipment is maintained to a high standard and is safe for hire.
Carry out both workshop-based and mobile service work as required.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
The ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
High-quality welding skills.
Previous experience working on construction plant machinery.
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.

Monday to Friday working hours: 7:00am - 5:00pm
