Location: UK Wide
Salary: £34,000 basic + Overtime (OTE £42,000-£55,000)
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, 39 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, Days

The Role
We are looking for a Mobile Plant Engineer to join a growing engineering team and provide servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of mobile plant and heavy machinery across the UK.
This is a field-based role suited to an experienced, time-served engineer, but applications are also welcomed from junior engineers who have a strong mechanical background and are looking to develop their skills further.
You will work on a varied range of equipment, including dumpers, rollers, diggers, excavators and telehandlers, with opportunities to develop your welding and mechanical engineering skills.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on mobile plant machinery.
Diagnose and rectify mechanical and hydraulic faults.
Work on a range of equipment including:
Dumpers
Rollers
Diggers
Excavators
Telehandlers
Carry out preventative maintenance and inspections.
Complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard.
Undertake MIG and TIG welding where required.
Attend customer sites across the UK as a field engineer.
Maintain accurate service and repair records.
Ensure all work is completed safely and professionally.
Experience & Skills
We're open to engineers from a range of backgrounds. Formal qualifications are not essential - we're primarily looking for practical ability and relevant hands-on experience.
You should ideally have:
Experience working on mobile plant, heavy machinery, agricultural machinery, construction equipment or similar.
A time-served engineering background.
Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
Experience with hydraulics would be advantageous.
MIG and/or TIG welding experience.
The ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
A practical, hands-on approach to engineering.Junior and developing engineers are also encouraged to apply where they have the right attitude and a strong mechanical foundation.
