Overview
Volvo is seeking an experienced Mobile HGV/PSV Technician to join their Service Market Team. This is a varied and rewarding role combining technical expertise, customer support, and nationwide travel. If you're Level 3 qualified and looking for a role with real variety and independence, this is the one.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out Pre Delivery Inspections (PDIs) in accordance with manufacturer standards
Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HGV and PSV vehicles
Providing technical support and guidance to dealerships and service partners
Conducting technical investigations and supporting field-based rectification activities
Preparing and inspecting used vehicles to ensure quality standards are met
Installing additional vehicle equipment – CCTV systems, USB charging points, and vehicle monitors
What You'll Need
NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) – essential
Proven experience within the HGV or PSV industry – essential
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
Full UK driving licence – PSV licence desirable but not essential
