Job Summary
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of electrical systems, equipment, and machinery. The role ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical installations while complying with company policies, engineering standards, and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Vehicle's can be provided where necessary, or can use you're own vehicle with fuel expenses.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
* Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
* Inspect electrical installations, control panels, motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and distribution systems.
* Install, test, commission, and modify electrical equipment and systems as required.
* Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
* Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, control systems, instrumentation, and automation equipment where applicable.
* Ensure compliance with electrical codes, engineering standards, and health and safety regulations.
* Prepare maintenance schedules, work orders, and technical documentation.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment histories, and inspection reports.
* Coordinate with operations, production, and external contractors during maintenance activities.
* Ensure the proper use and maintenance of electrical tools, testing equipment, and spare parts.
* Participate in emergency breakdown response and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe isolation procedures (Lockout/Tagout) are followed during maintenance activities.
