Mobile Electrical Engineer – North UK / Multiple Airport Sites
Leading Facilities Management Provider | Aviation Maintenance Contract
Salary: £45,000 + £125 Standby Rate + Overtime
Company Van + Fuel Card
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Electrical Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management provider, supporting a new aviation maintenance contract across multiple major airport sites throughout the UK.
This is a long-term opportunity for a qualified electrical engineer with strong commercial maintenance experience and a 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
The role
As a Mobile Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across a portfolio of airport sites.
The role will cover:
• Manchester
• East Midlands
• Humberside
• Leeds / Bradford
• Liverpool
• Birmingham
• Newcastle
• Glasgow
• Edinburgh
Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be comfortable travelling extensively between sites and managing your own workload.
Key responsibilities
• Carrying out planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Completing electrical inspection and testing in line with current regulations.
• Carrying out EICRs and other electrical certification where required.
• Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults safely and efficiently.
• Responding to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requirements.
• Supporting the wider FM team to ensure critical airport facilities remain operational.
• Ensuring all works are completed in line with health, safety and compliance requirements.
• Completing maintenance records, reports and certification accurately.
• Working closely with clients, subcontractors and site teams.
• Managing your own workload across multiple locations.
• Participating in a 1-in-5 call-out rota once fully inducted.
Requirements
• Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent.
• 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
• Strong commercial electrical maintenance experience.
• Proven experience with electrical inspection, testing and fault finding.
• Good knowledge of current electrical regulations.
• Previous FM, commercial, critical environment or aviation experience would be advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Comfortable travelling extensively between multiple sites.
• Able to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible, reliable and proactive approach.
• Willingness to participate in a 1-in-5 call-out rota.
Package
• £45,000 basic salary.
• £125 standby payment.
