Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer

Location: Preston preferred (flexible across the North West)
Salary: Competitive + Company Vehicle + Benefits
Hours: Full Time, Permanent – 40 Hours Per Week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to join a leading facilities management team operating across the North West.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to work across a varied portfolio of commercial and public sector properties, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of air conditioning systems.

While we are flexible on where the successful candidate is based, Preston would be the preferred location due to the geographical coverage of the role.

The Role

As a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services, ensuring all systems remain compliant, safe and operational.

Key responsibilities include:

* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on air conditioning systems

* Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently

* Ensuring statutory and mandatory compliance requirements are met

* Completing job reports and updating maintenance records via tablet devices

* Building positive relationships with clients and site teams

* Working independently while maintaining high service standards

* Managing workloads effectively to meet service level agreements and deadlines

About You

We are looking for a motivated engineer with strong technical knowledge and excellent customer service skills.

You will have:

* A recognised Apprenticeship, NVQ qualification or equivalent in Air Conditioning/Refrigeration

* A minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience within the Building Services industry

* F-Gas & ODS certification (essential)

* Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (6087) qualification or equivalent

* Previous experience in a similar mobile maintenance role

* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

* Good IT skills and experience using handheld devices/tablets

* Excellent communication and organisational abilities

* A full clean UK driving licence
