Overview:
We are a leading RF and microwave design consultancy seeking an experienced MMIC Design Engineer to join our growing team. You will be involved in all aspects of MMIC and RFIC design projects, from initial client liaison through to overseeing prototype testing. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your MMIC expertise across a range of cutting-edge projects in sectors such as defence, aerospace and telecommunications.
Key Responsibilities:
Designing MMICs, RFICs and microwave modules for radar, communications and other high-frequency applications.
Undertaking schematic capture, layout, and simulation using industry-standard EDA tools.
Working closely with external semiconductor foundries and assembly partners to fabricate and evaluate prototype designs.
Preparing comprehensive documentation packages covering specifications, simulations, layout and test results.
Liaising directly with clients to agree project specifications and present design updates.
Required Skills/Experience:
Degree or higher qualification in electronic/electrical engineering or physics.
At least 3 years industry experience designing MMICs and RFICs.
Expertise with design using GaAs, Si, SiGe and GaN technologies.
Strong circuit simulation, layout and prototype measurement capabilities.
Good understanding of microwave systems and modules.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise own workload.
Excellent teamwork and client-facing communications skills.
