Deerfoot IT Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an MLRO Officer to join a FCA-regulated fintech company in Sittingbourne Kent hybrid working. This full-time MLRO hybrid role comes with an attractive salary £100k-£140k+ Generous Package bonus / share options etc….
As an MLRO Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and combating the financing of terrorism requirements set out by the Financial Conduct Authority.
In your first few weeks in this MLRO role, you can expect to:
Develop, implement, and maintain the company's AML and CFT policies and procedures in line with FCA regulations
Ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant AML laws and regulations
Oversee the monitoring of transactions to identify suspicious activities
Investigate and report suspicious transactions to the appropriate authorities (e.g National Crime Agency) within required timeframes
Conduct regular AML risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategiesTo apply for this MLRO Officer role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:
Must have experience in Retail Wealth Management - ESSENTIAL
Have held SMF17 (ESSENTIAL), and (ideally) SMF16
Significant senior experience in compliance, ideally within a CASS compliance role.
