Mixed Animal Veterinary Surgeon. Durham. £37,500 + per annum, DOE.

Based in Durham, in the North East, this city offers many things not just this wonderful single site, independent practice. Steeped in history, with wild nightlife, fantastic commuter links and access to the countryside and beach too. This practice really is within a fantastic location to live and work.

The practice is hiring for growth. This is a practice where everybody pulls together when there’s work and relaxes when it’s time. A strong team who wants the best for patients and practice.

They are flexible on hours here but are ideally looking at a 4-day week, 1in 5 Saturday mornings, with some on call, during the week it is a fair rota 1 in 5, and weekends are also 1 in 5. There is no sole charge with this role, therefore suitable for a new or recently graduated Vet, looking for a mixed practice.

You need to be interested and passionate about mixed practice, as the split is currently 65% Small Animal, 30% Farm Animal and 5% Equine.

So, what’s in it for you? Starting salary depending on experience, new grad starts from £37,500k per annum with a payment for work out of hours. More experience commands a higher starting salary to be discussed. BVA and RCVS paid for, plus a generous CPD budget paid and encouraged, as well as opportunities for certificates. Holiday entitlement is 25 days plus BH’s.

Accommodation can be included, as well as the use of a Van for work purposes only.
