Mining Underground Mechanical Fitter

Description:

Our client a leader in Mining are looking for a Mining experienced time served Mechanical Fitter based at their mine in scenic Cumbria. The duties will include Professional Maintenance on all of the underground mining equipment. The post will report to a Team Leader, Shift Manager and ultimately the Mine Production Manager.
Experience/Qualifications:
The candidate will ideally be apprentice trained with several years of engineering experience post apprenticeship. Ideally holding an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering. Proven experience with hydraulic equipment and fault diagnosis is essential with maintenance skills on heavy mobile plant such as road headers and Heavy plant. Experience on specific mining equipment would be beneficial
