You'll be working British Gypsum in Brightling mine East Sussex. British Gypsum is one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK and the is the UK's leading manufacturer of interior lining systems.
What you'll do:
Respond to break down situations of the production machines on the district that are working
Assist and carry out the installation and maintenance of out bye services and rock handling equipment installation/move ups to efficiently support production operations
Assist and carry out the installation of district services
Assist and carry out the installation of District mechanical and ventilation schemes in accordance with Mine plan
Assist and carry out the planning and preparation of mine maintenance to minimise downtime
Be required to complete end of shift reporting to the company standard
What we're looking for:
Experience in the maintenance of heavy plant equipment and production machinery (ideally in a mining or quarry setting)
Experience of hydraulic systems and associated Permits to Work
A recognised mechanical apprenticeship (Minimum requirement Level 3)
Knowledge of Risk assessment process and also able to carry out dynamic on the job risk assessments
Knowledge of LOTO systems
Willingness to work a staggered shift pattern that includes nights
