Description:
An opportunity has arisen to join a well-established business outskirt of Bury St. Edmund as a Mill Operator. We are seeking a candidate who will be responsible for the efficiency of operating two flour mills whilst maintaining the health & safety aspects of production.

Responsibilities:
Operating two flour mills in a 24-hour/365-day operation.
Monitoring and adjusting cleaning and mill processing equipment.
Ensuring the production of quality flour within specified standards.
Continuously striving to increase mill capacity and optimize yield performance.
Ensuring compliance with all food safety regulations and relevant programs (e.g., HACCP), along with maintaining supporting documentation.
Always Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Assisting the maintenance department with preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance tasks.
Completing various shift production and food safety reports.
Loading flour tankers as required.
Collaborating with other departments as needed.
Performing all duties according to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Required to work 12-hour pattern shifts.
Possession of a valid driving license and access to a vehicle is mandatory.
Prior experience in a similar setting is advantageous; however, training will be provided.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Demonstrated initiative and proficiency in computer literacy are essential.
Understanding of workplace health and safety protocols.
A good level of physical fitness is required.
The package includes - permanent employment with a starting salary of £30,000 per year + an increase after 6 months of probation, a 12-hour shift pattern inclusive of days and nights with overtime available.
