MFL Graduate Teaching Assistant

Pertemps are currently seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant with a passion for MFL to support pupils in a outstanding secondary academy in Hackney. Ideally with Spanish and French.

The large school in the heart of Hackney is known for its academic excellence and thriving community. They are part of a Trust that overseas 6 secondary academies and 3 primary schools across London. They offer training and development to all staff to ensure excellent career development. As a teacher training school many of the Graduate Teaching Assistants have gone on to do exactly this!
The school has excellent transport links, 5 mins from the train station and bus routes on the high street directly outside.
The role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant you would be joining a large well established MFL department with outstanding resources. They have a very well managed Faculty of Learning that offer Teaching Assistants with skills in specialised areas to pupils that are struggling in those subject areas. As a MFL Graduate Teaching Assistant you would be required to support student across the secondary age curriculum. This can be in class as well as in small group or on a one-to-one basis. You will be required to work with the pupils to build a trusting relationship with the aim to raise attainment and improve behaviour.
What’s on offer?
The role for a Graduate Teaching Assistant offers a daily rate of £95.00 - £140.00 per day depending on experience. The role is to start asap until the end of the academic year with the view to go permanent for September 2024. They are a teacher training school so will also consider you for this if they have the availability.
What are we looking for?
* Ideally a Graduate with core subject in MFL (Spanish & French preferred)
* Keen to support pupils with SEND (Special Education Needs & Disabilities)
* A passion for teaching
* Current DBS on the update service
* 2 references covering the past 2 years.
