Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher for a long-term supply position at a secondary school in Darlington, with an immediate start available. Applications are welcome from teachers of French, Spanish, or German — and candidates who can offer more than one language will be looked upon very favourably.

MFL is a subject area where strong, qualified teachers are consistently in demand across the North East, and this is a genuine opportunity to secure a long-term placement in a well-established department with a clear route into permanent employment for the right candidate.

What you'll be doing:

Planning and delivering MFL lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teaching across your subject specialism — French, Spanish, or German
Supporting students to develop confidence in reading, writing, speaking, and listening
Assessing progress and adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners
Contributing to departmental planning and whole-school events
Upholding the school's safeguarding responsibilities
To be considered:

QTS or equivalent
A degree in a Modern Foreign Language or a related discipline
Experience teaching MFL at secondary level
Ability to teach more than one language is a significant advantage
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
