Position: Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher

Location: Just Outside Andover

Start Date: September 2024 - Long-term Contract until July 2025

Pay Range: £150 - £230 per day

Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Temporary Full-Time or Part-Time

Overview:

Are you passionate about imparting language skills and fostering a love for global cultures? An exciting opportunity awaits just outside Andover. Supply Desk is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic MFL Teacher to join a Secondary School on a long-term contract from September 2024 until July 2025, with the possibility of either full-time or part-time hours. The successful candidate will be teaching French to students in KS3 and KS4, and Spanish to students in KS3, within a supportive department. The school strongly encourages Early Career Teachers for MFL for French and Spanish to apply as well as overseas trained MFL teachers that have experience teaching French and Spanish. 

Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging MFL lessons that facilitate language acquisition and cultural appreciation.
Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of students.
Design and implement effective teaching strategies to enhance students' proficiency in French and Spanish.
Assess students' language skills and progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop the curriculum and participate in extracurricular language activities.

This mixed Secondary School, located just outside Andover, caters to students aged 11 to 18 years and has been rated 'Good' by Ofsted. The school is known for its supportive Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and commitment to academic excellence. Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related field (required).
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
Proven experience teaching MFL to secondary school students.
Proficiency in French and Spanish.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
