Computer Science Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Computer Science teacher to work at an exceptional School in Pocklington, starting 2nd September 2024 and lasting until Christmas in the first instance, with the potential to increase in the future. This is to cover a vacant position so there is potential for this to extend into the new academic year, potentially even going permanent. Payment for this position will be between £153.85 and £211.96 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

This role will involve teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 students Computer Science and planning and marking will be expected for this position. For the right candidate, Key Stage 5 (A Level) teaching will be available.

Located in Pocklington, the school is easy to access and has an onsite car park that is free to use and always has spaces. The school is part of a small, local academy trust and has an excellent reputation within the area. The school treat all temporary staff members with respect and the same as permanent staff members.

Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will have an experienced head of department assisting you in the role, and ECTs are welcome to apply for this role. The school would be willing to sign off a term of ECT for the right candidate!

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

Hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (PGCE in Lifelong Learning would be appropriate for this role)
Have experience working within schools in the UK.
Has experience teaching Computer Science or IT
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
