Are you experienced in the metal recycling industry and confident identifying different types of metal?
Do you have XRF experience and enjoy practical, hands-on work?

We're hiring for a Metal Sorter to join a busy recycling and processing environment to join a company we're working with. You'll be responsible for identifying and separating different metals, ensuring materials are correctly processed and the work area remains safe and organised.

What's the Job?

* Sorting different types of scrap metal by hand and/or using sorting equipment

* Using XRF equipment to identify metals

* Separating ferrous and non-ferrous metals

* Identifying materials including steel, aluminium, copper, brass and stainless steel

* Removing non-metallic materials and contamination

* Loading and unloading materials safely

* Feeding materials into conveyors, crushers or processing machinery where required

* Keeping the sorting area clean and organised

What Kind of Person Fits This Job?

XRF experience is essential. Previous experience in recycling, manufacturing, warehousing or other manual work would be useful.

You'll need good attention to detail, be physically fit and comfortable with repetitive manual work. Reliability, good teamwork and a strong approach to health & safety are also important.

The Basics:

* 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday

* £16.00ph - £18.00ph

* Regular days

* XRF experience essential

* Full PPE required

* Long-term opportunity (Permanent)
