MET Technician

Description:

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Commercial MET Technician to join a busy and professional bodyshop in Nottinghamshire. This role is ideal for an experienced technician seeking a stable, well-paid position within a reputable environment. The Commercial MET Technician will play a key part in maintaining high standards of repair work on commercial vehicles, ensuring safety, efficiency, and industry compliance.

Benefits for the successful MET Technician:

Basic salary approximately £45,000 per annum
Monday to Friday working hours, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Overtime available at an enhanced rate

Well-equipped workshop with ongoing training opportunitiesDutiesof the MET Technician:

Carry out strip and refit work on light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), following accident damage procedures
Diagnose faults and complete repairs to a high standard
Conduct servicing and inspections as required
Record job times, materials used, and costs accurately
Ensure all work conforms to industry standards
Use the correct tools, parts, and materials for each job
Maintain safety and quality throughout all tasksRequirements of the MET Technician:

Proven experience as a Commercial MET Technician
Relevant qualifications such as ATA, NVQ, or equivalent
Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle repair techniques
Ability to manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines
