MET Technician
£35,000+

Manpower are partnering with our prestigious client to find their MET Technician in Blackpool.
The MET Technician will be tasked with conducting panel repair or replacement on damaged vehicles. They will identify damage to electrical and mechanical components resulting from accidents or other damage. Their responsibilities include diagnosing the actual fault, removing and refitting these components before and after body repair work is completed.
Remove and reinstall mechanical and electrical trims, panels, and components on vehicles.
Ensure that vehicle stripping, and rebuilding are conducted professionally and accurately, with final quality checks performed according to standards.
Disassemble vehicles for panel work.
Conduct inspections, fault finding, and diagnostic tasks.
Manage replacement parts procurement.
Reassemble vehicles with new parts to restore them to pre-accident condition.
Strip and fit components, bodywork, and trim elements.
Carry out all MET duties as required.
Follow manufacturer repair methods to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition.
Perform fault finding and diagnostics.
Conduct road testing when necessary.
Dismantle and reassemble damaged vehicles following prescribed repair methods.
Ensure all tasks are completed within estimated timeframes.
Verify that parts are ordered as per estimate to avoid delays, returning unused parts for credit.
Maintain awareness of and adherence to all necessary standards and health and safety procedures.
