The Company:
Our client a growing UK retailer with established & emerging womenswear & menswear brands based in central Manchester are looking for a Merchandiser to join there successfully growing company. This is an office-based role.
Working with the account ASOS.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies.
* Attend meetings with customers (including the buyers and designers), taking and implementing notes.
* Keep up to date with the Critical Path on daily basis to ensure that wash care labels, lab dips, test reports, trims and fit samples are received in a timely manner and are approved within time restraints in order that production is completed on time.
* Work with customers on a daily basis regarding status of each order.
* Work with the factories on a daily basis and plan the factory schedule for each order received from customer ensuring that production is produced on time.
* Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for restocking.
* Excellent communication skills both within the team and with the customers.
* Maintain accurate records of merchandising activities and sales data.
Requirements:
* 2 years’ experience in merchandising
* Previous experience as an Import merchandiser.
* Excellent computer skills including Excel, word etc.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Excellent communication abilities, ensuring all members of the time are informed on any issues etc.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Acknowledge of retail/fashion industry.
* Flexible, approachable, friendly and a good team player.
