ABOUT THE ROLE
An opportunity has arisen for a Category Merchandiser to join this enthusiastic and creative team. You will manage the 3rd party lines, be involved in range planning and maintain the supply base for all 3rd party products. Ensuring all products are at the right price, order quantity and suitability for customers. As the Category Merchandiser you will research and assist with range development for – developing suppliers and products for maximum sales potential
Responsibilities:
* Maintain all purchasing deadlines across 3rd party suppliers, ensuring launches are on time, and first to market – using Buying Administrator to ensure all POs are raised on time, with correct pricing and order quantities.
* Using previous sales performance and market benchmarking – providing order quantities sales pricing for new launches from third-party suppliers
* Intake margin responsibility for 3rd party products
* Overseeing the day-to-day management of supply base for third-party products – ensuring deliveries are on time, and any delays are communicated to stakeholders
* Identifying gaps within 3rd party ranges – using analysis and market trends to recommend new products or ranges to be selected by Head of Buying/Ecomm.
* Sales analysis of 3rd Party sales – and proposal of Own Brand product equivalents from high-performing lines
* Optimising 3rd Party Supplier spend by facilitating drop ship/ sale or return opportunities
* Overall accountability for 3rd party stock levels – maintaining out-of-stock levels and ensuring they are within target, whilst taking into account stock value level target, managing Replenishment Assistant to facilitate.
* Recommendation of high stock level items to Head of Buying/Ecomm for trading clearance
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
Experience in a similar category merchandising role required - with either retail store or online experience working with brands. The role is office-based in Stockport, so you must live in a commutable distance in order to be considered.

£25-30k flexible depending on experience
