An Excellent Opportunity for an MEP Quantity Surveyor
We are working with an established, highly respected construction contractor with an impressive portfolio of major projects across the UK.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a prestigious new-build government office development in Darlington.

The Project
You will be working on a major new-build commercial office development for the Government in Darlington, with an MEP package valued in excess of £20 million.
The project offers an excellent opportunity to take commercial responsibility for significant mechanical and electrical works while working alongside an experienced project delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
*
Commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages.
*
Procurement and management of subcontractors.
*
Preparation and assessment of valuations, variations and final accounts.
*
Cost reporting, forecasting and budget management.
*
Contract administration and commercial risk management.
*
Working closely with project managers, engineers and the wider commercial team.
*
Identifying opportunities to maximise commercial performance.
What We're Looking For
*
Previous experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor.
*
Strong mechanical and/or electrical building services knowledge.
*
Experience working on major construction or MEP projects.
*
Good understanding of construction contracts, ideally including NEC.
*
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
*
Ability to work independently and as part of an established team.
