As we embark on a new prestigious residential project, we are seeking a skilled and experienced MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Surveyor/Estimator to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Cost Estimation: Accurately prepare and manage MEP cost estimates for the project, ensuring all components are covered from initial concept through to completion.

* Quantity Surveying: Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities for MEP services.

* Tender Documentation: Assist in the preparation of tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.

* Procurement: Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the best value for money without compromising on quality.

* Cost Control: Monitor and control project costs, ensuring alignment with the project budget and timelines.

* Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with the project management team, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.

* Site Inspections: Regularly visit the site to oversee the installation of MEP services, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

* Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, including cost forecasts, variance analysis, and final accounts.

Requirements:

* Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in MEP surveying or estimating, preferably within the high-end residential sector.

* Education: Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

* Technical Skills: Proficient in MEP systems and installation practices, with a solid understanding of UK building regulations and standards.

* Software Proficiency: Experience with industry-standard estimating and quantity surveying software.

* Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.

* Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all project stakeholders.

* Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to foresee and mitigate potential issues.
