The Role

We are looking for an experienced MEP Commissioning Manager to join a major decarbonisation programme at Gatwick Airport.

The role will focus on the commissioning and quality assurance of enabling projects that will connect into the wider heat network, ensuring systems are correctly commissioned, points are adhered to and all required quality checks are completed to the appropriate standards.

You will work closely with project teams, contractors, consultants and commissioning specialists to ensure MEP systems are delivered, tested and integrated successfully.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage and oversee MEP commissioning activities across enabling projects.

* Ensure commissioning requirements, points and procedures are fully adhered to.

* Carry out and oversee quality checks and verification of MEP systems.

* Review commissioning documentation, test results and handover information.

* Coordinate commissioning activities between contractors, consultants and project teams.

* Identify and resolve commissioning issues and defects.

* Ensure systems are correctly integrated and ready to connect into the wider heat network.

* Support project delivery teams throughout commissioning, testing and handover.

* Maintain high standards of quality, compliance and documentation.

Requirements

* Proven experience as an MEP Commissioning Manager / Commissioning Manager / M&E Commissioning Manager.

* Strong MEP/building-services background.

* Experience delivering commissioning on complex construction or infrastructure projects.

* Good understanding of mechanical, electrical and building-services systems.

* Strong experience with testing, commissioning, quality assurance and handover.

* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

* Candidates from either a consultancy or contractor background will be considered.

* Airside/airport experience would be a significant advantage, but is not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term decarbonisation programme, with an initial 12-month contract and the potential for further extensions, working on projects that will contribute to the transition towards a lower-carbon heat network
