Apricus Resourcing are working with a leading charitable organisation who are looking for a Outreach Mental Health Support Worker for an ongoing locum role. This rewarding role offers a competitive hourly rate of £14.52, providing not just financial satisfaction but also the chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals requiring compassionate support.

As a Mental Health Support Worker, the selected candidate will be instrumental in offering guidance, encouragement, and practical assistance to those facing mental health challenges. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about mental health advocacy and is eager to contribute to a supportive environment that fosters wellbeing and resilience.

The charity is seeking a professional with a warm, empathetic approach and the ability to build rapport with service users. The role demands excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the capacity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one support and group work to help service users achieve their personal goals.
Develop and implement individual support plans in partnership with service users.
Facilitate access to community resources and services.
Monitor and report on the progress of service users, adapting support plans as necessary.

To devise effective interventions for service users who are ‘hard to engage.'

To enable the service users to access medical services and the local community mainstream services.

To ensure that allocated service users have a needs & risk assessment and SMART support plan, which are

reviewed at agreed frequencies.

Essential Skills & Experience:
A minimum of an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
Previous experience in a mental health support role.
A solid understanding of mental health issues and the impact they can have on individuals and their families.
The ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including evenings and weekends when required.
