Description:
We are looking for a locum Mental Health Occupational Therapist for one of our private clients based in Reading.
We are currently seeking a Mental Health Occupational Therapist for a complex rehabilitation service for men and women with a primary diagnosis of mental illness. The team will provide support for individuals with schizophrenia including treatment resistant, schizoaffective disorder, depression, anxiety. They may also have a secondary diagnosis including alcohol, drug and substance misuse, behavioural disorders such as compulsive obsessive disorder (OCD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bipolar, panic disorder and Autism.
You will have experience in managing a designated caseload using theoretical and practical experience, completing assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans.
With a strong emphasis on teamwork, you’ll receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a variety of training courses to support you reach your career goals.
This role involves:
* Completing assessments, planning sessions and implementing intervention.
* Evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans.
* Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants.
* Implement and develop evidence-based therapeutic activities to aid mental health recovery.
To be successful in this role:
* Current HPC registration and BOAT membership.
* Experience of working within a similar setting.
