A leading engineering and infrastructure business is looking to appoint an experienced Senior MEICA Estimator to support the development of technically sound and commercially competitive solutions across a range of water industry projects.
This is an opportunity to join a growing team delivering complex mechanical and electrical installations within the UK water sector, working closely with operational, commercial and design teams during the pre-construction phase.
Your new role
As a Senior MEICA Estimator, you will be responsible for developing tender submissions, estimates and technical proposals for water and wastewater projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
Preparing accurate MEICA estimates and tender submissions
Reviewing specifications, drawings and client requirements
Identifying project risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions
Obtaining and assessing supplier and subcontractor quotations
Producing budget costs, target costs and detailed estimates
Collaborating with commercial, design and delivery teams
Supporting bid strategy and pre-construction activities
Ensuring submissions are completed to a high standard and within deadlines
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered, applicants must have:
Previous experience as a MEICA Proposals Engineer, MEICA Estimator, Electrical Estimator, Mechanical Estimator or Senior Estimator
Demonstrable water industry experience within clean water, wastewater, water treatment or water infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of MEICA systems and assets
Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings and scopes of work
Experience producing estimates and tenders for engineering or infrastructure projects
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify risks and opportunities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skillsCandidates must possess MEICA and water sector experience.
